How it Works

Block Paving

An appointment will be scheduled at a time convenient for you. A survey of the property will be completed and one of our experienced team will consult you on your ideas.

We send a written quotation with specifications so you can compare what we will do against any other contractors you invite to quote.

Once instructed we bring in an excavator to suit the size of the site and clear the area. The area is then surveyed with a CAT canner, this minimises any chance of hitting main services. We then remove any existing driveway or soil to a minimum of 6"- 8" and any green waste.

All depths are set using the latest laser guided levels ensuring the finished height of your driveway coincides with any damp proof course. This is one of the most important factors to consider when laying any surface against a building. Where necessary we can insert french drains, drainage gulley's or dry channels to conform with building regulations and protect your property.

After the site has been prepared a hardcore base is laid with a substrate. Then a further secondary sub base, then finally the block is laid. Every stage of the process is mechanically compacted to ensure an even surface at completion. All edges and kerbs are haunched to prevent movement.

Your driveway is laid and compacted for the last time, making sure we remove any job related waste. Our employees always leave the site tidy and ready to use, ensuring you can use the driveway straight away.
